Former SC Justice Velasco tackles tax share of LGUs at 'Talakayan sa Manila Hotel'

Former Supreme Court Justice Presbitero Velasco, now governor of Marinduque and president of League of Provinces of the Philippines, will outline the moves of local government units (LGUs) on the seeming defiance of Congress and Malacañang to comply with the recent Supreme Court decision increasing the just share of local governments from the national taxes, especially in view of country's urgent need to combat dengue, African swine fever, floods, traffic, and the continuing drug menace, during the “Talakayan sa Manila Hotel” Tuesday, September 24, 2019, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
