MANILA, Philippines — Little did aspiring singer Khalil Ramos know that auditioning for “Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3” would lead to him exploring avenues in show business. At the age of 5, Khalil was already in love with music, influenced by his dad, who was an active member of their church’s music ministry.

His musical taste matured as he listened to Queen, Aerosmith and The Beatles while growing up. When Khalil entered high school, he became one of the popular kids at Colegio De San Agustin as he displayed his talent in singing in various competitions.

However, it was only in “Pilipinas Got Talent” that he really took his talent to heart. After taking singing lessons for a year, the Star Magic newbie stepped on the PGT audition stage and immediately wowed the judges. The rest is history.

Although placing only second in the finals, being a PGT finalist opened many doors for him in the local entertainment scene.

His life turned a full 360 degrees upon landing a significant role as Kathryn Bernardo’s best friend in ABS-CBN’s newest teleserye “Princess and I.” He will also be seen with teen stars Enrique Gil and Daniel Padilla.

This Colegio de San Agustin student admitted to feeling the pressure acting alongside more experienced contemporaries but Khalil knows he’d be alright as long as he does his best all the time.

The 16-year-old also appreciates that his co-stars help him with his lines and give him tips on how to act in front of the camera. “There’s so much to learn in this business and I know I’d be able to meet their expectation as they (my co-stars) are very supportive every step of the way,” said Khalil.
