Malacañang on Tuesday said it will respect whatever decision the Supreme Court will render concerning the electoral protest filed by former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and allow the parties involved to argue their respective cases.

"Whatever the decision of the (Supreme) Court, we will, we should abide by it," Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a press briefing.
Panelo insisted that the Palace will “never interfere with the function, duty, and work of any co-equal branch as well as independent constitutional bodies."
Sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), the High Court ordered to issue the official report on the initial vote recount involving the petition of Marcos against Vice President Leni Robredo to both camps.
The SC, in an en banc session, directed the release of the committee report on the recount of contested ballots from Camarines Sur, Iloilo, and Negros Oriental.
The Tribunal likewise reportedly directed the parties to comment on the report and on the motion of nullification filed by Marcos on election results in Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, and Basilan.
During the briefing, Panelo said Malacanang will just wait and let the parties argue their case in court until such time when the PET renders its decision.
