2 killed, 2 injured in motor mishap

Two persons were killed while two others were hurt when the  motorcycles they were riding collided in Barangay San Sebastian, San Vicente, Ilocos Sur on  Friday.

Police identified the fatalities as Rodrigo Romero, 53, a salesman and resident of Barangay San Sebastian and Henry Tacla, 32, a resident of Barangay Nagla-oan, Sto. Domingo, Ilocos Sur.  Injured were Vic Rondero and Ronald Romero, both back riders of the two  drivers.

Investigation showed that the motorcycles were speeding  from opposite directions when they suddenly hit each other causing both drivers and their passengers to fall on  the concrete pavement.

Police said that due to the impact, the drivers  suffered severe fractures on their heads.   Those injured were brought to  a nearby hospital.

Police said  the drivers and their passengers were not wearing helmets and protective gears.
