Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian said that the financial aid will be coming from the city’s Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (LDRRMF)-Quick Response Fund.
"We are fortunate enough that we haven't touched a single centavo of our disaster fund so we have enough to keep for the city and donate to our brothers and sisters," Gatchalian said in a tweet Tuesday night.
The provincial government of Davao Del Sur will receive financial assistance worth P2 million, while Digos City and the towns of Bansalan, Magsaysay, and Matanao, will get P1 million each.
Meanwhile, the provincial government of Cotabato will receive a P4-million cash donation.
