While there would be a rollback in prices at petroleum pumps this week, the cost of cooking fuel is expected to go up by P4 to P5 per kilogram starting October 1.

This is based on the initial advisory of industry players although actual cost movements have yet to take effect at retail outlets.
With this, the pick-up price of LPG will increase by as much as P44 to P55 for the standard 11-kilogram cylinder.
However, a significant P1.45 per liter rollback in gasoline prices will partly provide relief to consumers this week.
Oil companies have advised a P0.60 per liter price cut for diesel and a P1 cut per liter for kerosene.
As of press time, the oil companies that already advised on price rollbacks include Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation, Seaoil, PetroGazz, PTT Philippines, Total, Chevron and Unioil effective on Tuesday (October 1).
Cleanfuel adjusted on Sunday at 4pm for a heftier rollback of P1.50 per liter for gasoline and a P0.50 per liter for diesel.
After a drone attack on the key oil facilities of Saudi Aramco, global oil prices soared to over US$67 per barrel – chiefly for Dubai crude which is the pricing benchmark for refiners in the Asian region. As of last week, however, that already softened to US$60 per barrel.
