MANILA, Philippines — GMA’s Primetime Queen Marian Rivera makes a comeback to comedy via her newest project, “Tweets for my Sweet,” which starts airing today, May 6.

The last time we saw Marian in a comedy was when she co-starred with Manny Pacquiao in “Show Me Da Manny.”

For this project, certainly another milestone in her career, Marian expresses her gratitude to GMA Network. “Sobra akong natutuwa dahil ibinigay sa akin ang programang ito at magkakaroon ako ng pagkakataon upang makatrabaho ang ilan sa mga taong hinahangaan ko sa industriya.”

Also starring in the show is Roderick Paulate, one of the country’s established comedians, who returns to comedy after so many years of absence. Roderick plays JB Mercado.

Joining the cast are Kapuso actress Sheena Halili (as Lily), “Kusina Master’s” Chef Boy Logro (as Lolo Boy), the most promising tween stars Elmo Magalona (as Dino Mercado), Barbie Forteza (as Adele), and YouTube sensation Mikey Bustos (as Dexter Matibag).

Playing an important role is Ms. Nova Villa (as Domina de los Santos).

Under the helm of Director Uro dela Cruz, “Tweets for my Sweet,” tells the story of a young lady named Meg (Marian) who grew up in the province but will take chances in pursuing her dream of having her own café/restaurant in the city. The show airs every Sunday after “24 Oras Weekend” on GMA.

Why Juday Isn’t  Doing Movies

If Judy Ann Santos isn’t so keen on making movies these days (despite the fact that she now has that enviable figure that makes her truly a lovely sight to behold on the big screen), it could be because she has been busy doing commercials. And we all know that this is more profitable than doing movie or TV projects.

One of Juday’s new TV commercials has her and daughter Yohan endorsing Eden Cheese, a project she clinched because “she symbolizes the Eden mom which is one who is nurturing and makes her family her top priority.”

When she got married to Ryan Agoncillo, Juday became more careful and wiser with her decisions. “Hindi ibig sabihin na cell phone bill lang yan, babalewalain na,” she pointed out pertaining to cell phone usage that can tack up huge amounts if left unchecked.

“Fortunately, with my present network provider, Sun Cellular, they have the Anti-Bill Shock plan which protects customers like me from shocking bills while giving us control over our usage,” Juday said. Anti-Bill Shock plans is just one of the many products of Sun Cellular that suits the lifestyle of Judy Ann.
