BACOLOD CITY - Fishermen rescued a sea turtle trapped in a fish corral in Barangay Sara-et, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on Thursday.

Commander Ludovico Librilla Jr., head of Philippine Coast Guard-Negros Occidental, said the 20-year-old turtle weighs more than 100 kilograms.
Fisherman Francisco Gayonga, 61, reported it to the authorities, which prompted the PCG to coordinate with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for its proper disposition.
The turtle was removed by fishermen from the fish corral and brought it to the shoreline.
After checking its condition, authorities decided to return it to the waters as there was no injury seen.
