TUGUEGARAO CITY – Mayor Atty. Jefferson P. Soriano urged Barangay Chairpersons, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation, and presidents of tricycle operators and drivers associations (TODA) to cooperate in the strict compliance of road clearing operations by the Department of the Interior and Local Governance (DILG) through the Memorandum Circular No. 2020-027.

Soriano told local reporters that the Tuguegarao City government needs the full cooperation of all the barangays in order for the operation to be successful.
Significant results must be achieved within 75 calendar days, he said.
During the meeting, he emphasized that the barangays should be actively involved in the road clearing operations .
" Kaya ipinatawag ang meeting na ito para sa ganoon, matulungan tayo ng mga barangay natin”, said Soriano as he convened barangay captains, SK Federation, and TODA for the massive information dissemination on road clearing operations, and the guidelines on the coronavirus diseases 2019 (COVID-19) at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Hall.
Soriano also invited doctors from Cagayan Valley Medical Center, Tuguegarao City People's General Hospital, and City Health Office to help inform Tuguegaraoeños on how to prevent transmission of flu and other diseases.
Earlier, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) gave local government units (LGUs) at least 75 days to finish the second round of road clearing operations in their respective localities.
