About 82 video karera and fruit game machines were destroyed last Monday by the Las Pinas City police in accordance with the directive of Mayor Imelda Aguilar to intensify their campaign against all forms of gambling.

The machines were destroyed at the Las Pinas City Hall grounds in the presence of Aguilar and Vice-Mayor April Aguilar-Nery together with the local police chief, Colonel Segundo Laguindi.
Aguilar said that the gambling machines were confiscated by the police since the start of their operations conducted against all forms of illegal gambling last January 2 up to February 4.
The mayor said that she ordered the police to intensify their campaign against gambling activities special if these are done near schools.
Recently, the newly installed Southern Police District Director Colonel Emmanuel Peralta paid a visit to Aguilar and promised that there will be strict monitoring by the police in curbing all criminal activities.
Aguilar wanted the enhancement of peace and order measures in the different barangays in the city.
She also wanted that Las Pinas would stay as a peaceful place to live in and away from any criminal activity perpetrated by lawless elements.
