MB Daily News Update: Warning out on possible Covid-19 resurgence in May

Without these health protocols, the World Health Organization (WHO) is warning that the country could record over 300,000 new Covid-19 infections by mid-May this year.

WHO also emphasized the importance of vaccination rather than focusing on the number of Covid-19 cases to be able to better manage the pandemic in the country.

Six days after tropical storm Agaton struck, and with the death toll at 167, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) is mulling the termination of search and rescue operations, with focus to shift to recovery and rehabilitation in affected areas.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has started to circulate the country’s first waterproof and dirt-proof polymer banknotes in 1,000-peso denomination bills.
