The automated dispensers were created by the robotics team of Dr. Yanga's Colleges Inc. in Bocaue, Bulacan.
To operate the dispenser, users need only to place their hands below the sensor, and the device would dispense alcohol for hand sanitizing.
"The dispensers are made with Lego education EV3 and sensors to give the exact amount of alcohol for the public, providing protection for the people without wastage," the Department of Education said in a Facebook post.
The dispensers are being used by the public in Bocaue and Malolos City, Bulacan.
The dispensers could be battery operated or plugged into an electrical outlet for longer use.
