Gary V Stages Encore
MANILA, Philippines --- Due to insistent public demand, “Gary Valenciano: On Higher Ground” returns to Music Museum for two final encore performances on June 8 and 9.
“On Higher Ground” (OHG) is one of the biggest, most talked-about, and the most successful concert series by a solo artist and it marked Gary V’s 29th anniversary in Philippine showbiz and the 25th anniversary of his management company Manila Genesis Management and Entertainment Inc.
Co-directed by Salamin band’s front-man and recording artist Paolo Valenciano, “OHG” is the first concert series produced in the Philippines by a local solo artist to use the latest video mapping technology that is employed by other international artists. “OHG” is a visual feast that fuses Gary’s iconic music with animated, interactive videos.
“OHG” was such a treat celebrities flocked to Music Museum to view Gary V’s latest production masterpiece when it was first staged at the Music Museum: Christian Bautista, Jed Madela, Angel Locsin, Wally Bayola, Jericho Rosales, Eugene Domingo, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Karylle, Zia Quizon, Coney Reyes, Liezl Martinez, Aiko Melendez, Candy Pangilinan, Iya Villania, Drew Arellano, Jhong Hilario, Maricris Bermont, Boots Anson Roa, Mark Bautista, Coleen Garcia, Enrico Santos, Vina Morales, Iza Calzado, Kuya Germs, Kuh Ledesma, Erik Santos, Isabelle, Robin Nievera, Duncan Ramos, G Tongi, Sam Isaac, Jamie Rivera, Carlo Orosa, Audie Gemora, Jojo Lastimosa, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, Barbie Almalbis, and Amber Davis among many others. The list goes on.
Joining Gary as his special guests are three of the newest artists to join the Manila Genesis family namely: Hip-hop and R&B artist Quest; Awit Awards 2008 Best Female/Best New Female Singer Julianne; and Juan Miguel Salvador, formerly of Rage Band and now the musical director of Authority, which represented the country in the 2005 Global Battle of the Bands in London. Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo and another welcome addition to the Manila Genesis roster of artists Kim Jones of ETC’s lifestyle show “Etcetera” also have special participations in the show. Musical direction of “OHG” is by Gary’s longtime musical director Mon Faustino.

The Bloomfields At Thunderbird Resort
They are young, and good-looking at that, but The Bloomfields sing old songs and this makes them popular among both the old and the young. The Bloomfields is 24th Aliw Awards’ Best Performer of the Year (Group Category).
The Bloomfields will be at Thunderbird Resort in Binagonan, Rizal today, June 7 and all Thursdays of June. Showtime is 9 p.m.
The Bloomfields has Rocky Collado, a visual artist, as drummer and singer and also the group’s “talker.” Lakan Hila plays the keyboard and is the lead guitar and musical director of the group. He came from a family of musicians. Louie Poco plays the bass guitar and the master of rock and roll showmanship. Dino Pascual, the youngest in the group, is the resident balladeer. He plays the rhythm guitar.
The Bloomfields play the old music with the energy and vitality of today. Watch them as they play the best of the ’60s to ’80s songs.
