Extreme enhanced community quarantine (EECQ)
As has been explained, Mayor Joy Belmonte said the EECQ is in effect in barangays with at least two confirmed COVID-19 cases in streets and highways and/or congested urban poor areas where its spread is most likely.
She clarified that this is reviewed daily depending on the number of cases/recoveries.
But the newly reported barangays with at least two cases are not yet been included in the list since validation is still being undertaken.
As of April 1, 7 p.m., the Quezon City government is implementing EECQ in the following barangays:
Tandang Sora, Kalusugan, Ramon Magsaysay, Maharlika, Tatalon, Batasan Hills, Pasong Tamo, Central, San Roque, Paligsahan, Bagong Lipunan ng Crame, South Triangle, Culiat, Bahay Toro, E. Rodriguez, San Isidro Labrador, Matandang Balara, and Teachers Village West.
Decontamination efforts
The Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the Quezon City Fire Department have continuously disinfected the city’s streets and highways.
As of April 1, all of the city’s 142 barangays were disinfected as part of the continuous simultaneous decontamination operations. The Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) will continue to disinfect various areas in the city.
Partnership with Fe del Mundo Hospital
Belmonte said the city government has partnered with the Fe del Mundo Hospital located on Banawe Street for it to be an exclusive COVID-accepting hospital starting April 6, to which patients with COVID-19 symptoms can be taken.
