MB Daily News Update: PBBM meets with business sector in US

From aerospace and energy firms to ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. shifted his focus on wooing the international business community to invest in the Philippines during his working visit to the United States.

This, as the Marcos government continued to be without a “Little President” back in the Philippines after Malacañang disclosed that no new Executive Secretary has been chosen by the President to replace lawyer Vic Rodriguez.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) underscored that the recently approved fare hikes for public utility vehicles (PUVs) will be effective on Oct. 3, 2022 yet to dissuade some operators and drivers from imposing the fare increases prematurely.

The House has approved the bill postponing the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections, and has joined the Senate in approving the proposed SIM card registration bill.

WAITING TO GO HOME – Pupils from the Paaralang Elementaryang Andres Bonifacio in Pasay City find themselves stranded, and waiting for fetchers so that they could go home after the suspension of classes on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, due to inclement weather brought about by the southwest monsoon, or ‘habagat’. This was the same case in other schools in Metro Manila and nearby provinces after local governments decided to order the suspension at mid-morning, or when many students have already made it to their respective schools.
