By MB Online Following the firing of director James Gunn last month, the production of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 has been put on hold. (Disney-Marvel via AP) The crew prepping for the preproduction was dismissed and told they're now free to work on other projects. according to The Hollywood Reporter. It also added that the production hold is temporary and more of a 'regrouping'. As the Marvel and Disney are taking measures in search for a new director, the studio has been reportedly met with Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi but is unclear what project was discussed. Gunn was fired from the project after his tweets years ago where he joked about subjects like pedophilia and rape drew flaks. Guardians stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, and Dave Bautista, in an open letter, asked the studio to reinstate Gunn. Disney and Marvel has yet to release the schedule of the movie.
