Manila barangay officials, police remind residents of daytime ban on karaokes, videokes
Barangay officials and police officers made rounds in the city of Manila on Friday to remind residents that the use of karaokes, videokes, and other sound-producing devices are now banned during daytime.

This after Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso on Thursday signed a city ordinance authorizing the ban to help students focus on their online classes.
Domagoso said he has received numerous complaints from parents of students learning from home who get distracted by their neighbors using karaoke, videoke, and the like.
The authorities converged at the Kartilya ng Katipunan near the Manila City Hall at around 8 a.m. before making their rounds.
The ban on karaokes and videokes is from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays.
First time offenders will be fined P1,000 while second time violators will pay P2,000. For the third and succeeding offenses, violators will be penalized with a P3,000 fine.
