Korean NGO donates 500 KN95 masks, PPEs to MMDA

Five hundred KN95 face masks and other personal protective equipment (PPEs) were recently donated by a Korean non-government organization (NGO) to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim personally accepted the donations from Byung YulSeo who is representing Korea 911 Search and Rescue Team.

The NGO also donated face shields, spray bottles, and disinfectants to the agency.

Lim said the donations will protect MMDA's personnel from the coronavirus disease 2019 (C0VID-19).

"We are very thankful to the Korea 911 Search and Rescue Team for donating to the MMDA," Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago, MMDA spokesperson, said.

The MMDA chairman also thanked the group for helping the agency disinfect the bus stops along EDSA to help fight the spread of the dreaded virus.

In August, the NGO partnered with MMDA to help disinfect bus stops along EDSA.

"Your donations to MMDA are very much appreciated. Rest assured, we will intensify our frontline and emergency services to the public," Lim said.
