46 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Davao region

DAVAO CITY - The Department of Health Davao Center for Health Development reported 46 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Davao region.

In its Regional Situation Update on COVID-19 in Davao Region, as of September 11, the DOH said 29 were from Davao City, seven from Davao Oriental, five from Davao del Norte, three from Davao de Oro, and two from Davao del Sur

Davao region has recorded a total of 2,402 cases of COVID-19, with 366 active cases.

The region did not record any fatality. There were also 33 recoveries on Friday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,965.

The DOH said 20 of the new recoveries were from Davao City, seven from Davao de Oro, and two each from Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte and Davao Oriental.

The DOH added that there were 1,503 specimens tested on Friday and a total of 63 or 4 percent turned out positive for COVID-19. Forty-six of these were from Davao region and 17 from other regions.
