47 new COVID-19 cases reported in Caraga region

BUTUAN CITY - The number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in Northeastern Mindanao or Caraga region increased with 47 new cases recorded that brought the number of active cases to 625.

Based on the COVID-19 Regional Case Bulletin released by the Department of Health-Center for Health and Development (DOH-CHD), 25 new cases were recorded in Butuan City, nine in Agusan del Norte, three in Cabadbaran City, five in Agusan del Sur, two in Surigao del Norte, and one each in Bayugan City, Surigao del Sur and Tandag City

The region now has a total of 1,881 confirmed cases of COVID-
19.

One death was also reported on Saturday. Caraga region has
recorded a total of 75 deaths.

In a virtual press briefing on Saturday, Caraga region has also
recorded 1,181 recoveries.

According to the medical status of patients, the DOH-CHD said one was critical, two had severe symptoms, 21 had mild symptoms, and 23 were asymptomatic.

Among the latest cases, 35 were local transmission cases, three with close contacts of previously confirmed case, five health care workers, two frontliners, one with travel history from an area with local transmission, and one with no history of travel to an area with known local transmission or expose to COVID-19.
