He is holding a show titled “Lucky, Lucky, Lucky In Love” at Pagcor Angeles today, Feb. 6, but in real life, singer Duncan Ramos is nursing heartbreak after calling it quits with his non-showbiz girlfriend two months ago.
Duncan told Bulletin Entertainment that work got in the way.
“Tuwing maglalabas ako ng album, ‘pag nagiging busy ako sa work, away kami nang away. Mahirap.”
Duncan’s devotion to her when he chose to lay low in his career was apparently taken against him when he decided to become more active again.
“Hindi talaga nakikita nung partner ko what I do outside. When I don’t have work, I don’t hang out with anyone, nasa bahay lang talaga. Hindi mo makikita ‘yung showbiz [part] kasi right after any show nasa bahay [ako]. Mali nga siguro ’yung practice ko na ganun,” said he, who once contemplated leaving behind show business in order to become a waiter abroad if it means leading a simpler life with one of his other exes.
Duncan and his last girlfriend struggled to work out the relationship but with his busier schedule ahead, he found it wiser to let go.
“Sa March, maglo-launch ako ng album. I’ll be gone – mag ba-bar tour ako… kahit naman sinong artist ‘pag pagod, nagiging moody.
“I mean, baliw ako sa music…kaya nga ‘yung album ko ngayon, five songs lang pero matagal ginawa kasi emote ako masyado. When you write songs, when you sing, hindi naman pwedeng fabricated [ang feelings]...”
So does that mean his next girlfriend would be from show business?
“Marami [ang] nag-advice sa akin na showbiz daw para maintindihan ’yung work ko since pareho lang kami. Yeah, siguro nga…”
