MB Daily News Update: 'Maymay' to make landfall Wednesday

Short of saying that it was supporting some quarters’ move to call for a complete stop to offshore gaming in the country, the Chinese ambassador to the Philippines told Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri that he his country was inclined to blacklist countries which will continue to allow the operation of these gambling operations.

Ambassador Juang Xilian said it was for the protection of China’s own nationals, who have become the target of criminal syndicates operating in the offshore gaming community.

Tropical depression Maymay may make landfall over Aurora province or northern Quezon province on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, even as the state weather agency said that another cyclone may enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022.

And with its border restrictions already relaxed, the Japanese government, through its ambassador to the country Koshikawa Kazuhiko, called on Filipinos to “come and discover Japan”.
