PRO-7 adopts '5I' initiative in fight vs COVID-19

(PRO 7 / MANILA BULLETIN) The “5I” initiative will ensure a better implementation of the national program called 3T or test, trace and treat, said Police Brig. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro, chief of PRO 7. The “5I” stands for inform, identification, isolation, intervention and integration. “We have to inform the public about the measures how to avoid the virus such as social distancing and observing proper hygiene. Under the identification is the contact tracing and once we have done that we will have the isolation,” said Ferro. Ferro said intervention provides not just the needed medical, but also mental and spiritual support. The initiative will also create program for the patients’ integration. “We really have to come up with our own strategic approach so we can better understand the situation. We have to come up with our own strategy to support the national government in solving this pandemic,” said Ferro.
