P3M worth of smuggled cigarettes seized in Zambo Sibugay

The Bureau of Customs seized P3 million worth of smuggled cigarettes which was found on board a truck in Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Port of Zamboanga District Collector Segundo Sigmundfreud Barte Jr. said the operation stemmed from a tip that a vehicle was carrying illegal goods.

Barte said the truck had 85 cases of the contraband carrying different brands, adding that all the three persons inside the vehicle were arrested.

The vehicle and its contents are now under the custody of the BOC.
