The national government is rolling the dice with the imposition of granular lockdowns, and the downgrade of restrictions in Metro Manila to general community quarantine (GCQ) effective September 8, 2021.
This, as the Department of Health (DOH) reported another record-high in single-day new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infections of 22,415, and 279 additional delta variant cases.
The state weather agency is also monitoring tropical depression Jolina, as well as two cyclones that were spotted east of the Visayas.
