Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola are making their second starrer entitled “Ikaw Na, Day Best Ka” and luckily for them, top movie and TV stars are lending their talents to support them. The list is led by “Eat Bulaga’s” dabarkads Vic Sotto, Michael V. and Jimmy Santos.

Good friends Maricel Soriano and Roderick Paulate (now councilor of Quezon City) are also making a reunion on the big screen after so many years to play special roles in the movie directed by Soxie Topacio. Other stars joining the comic tandem of Jose and Wally include Eddie Garcia, Aiza Seguerra, Ajur Abrenica, Victor Basa, and German Moreno. Also in the cast are Gina Pareño, Solenn Heussaff, Michael de Mesa, and Tirso Cruz III.

Jose and Wally are naturally overwhelmed with this show of support and the all-out push they are getting from APT Entertainment.

“Siyempre, ibang level na ang usapan dito. Dala na namin ni Wally ang malaking responsibilidad upang mabigyan ng nakakatawang panoorin ng mga tao,” Jose said.

On his part, Wally said, “Hinding-hindi ko makakalimutan ang experience namin ni Jose sa pelikulang ito. Hindi na kasi suporta ang role namin kundi sa balikat namin nakapatong ang malaking responsibilidad.”

In the story, conflict arises between the Kilabot brothers – Justine (Jose) and Bruno (Wally) when they fall for the same girl, Kitty (ably portrayed by Pokwang). Kitty chose to marry Bruno who ended up a woman hater until he met Lulu (Solenn Heussaff), daughter of the man who owns the property they rent in Tondo.

The brothers’ differences did not end with their lovelife. They became at odds even with their respective businesses. And making things worst is Justine’s assistant Tweety (played by Paolo Ballesteros). But a major twist happened when the property owner (Michael de Mesa) decided to take over Justine and Bruno’s place to build a commercial center.

“Ikaw Na, Day Best Ka” comes on the heels of Jose and Wally’s blockbuster major concert at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum “The Jose and Wally Concert: A Party for Every Juan.”

Bianca King Ready For Directing Job

GMA Artist Center’s Bianca King recently finished her digital filmmaking course from De La Salle-College of St. Benilde and needless to say, the actress is now ready to face the challenge of directing.

While studying, Bianca has done short films as a requirement for graduation and also worked on music videos for songs of Hale and Somedaydream. Among her showbiz friends and colleagues who’ve appeared on her videos include Richard Gutierrez, Heart Evangelista and Gwen Zamora.

Bianca also directed the music video for Frencheska Farr’s single “Today I’ll See The Sun” with her townhouse and neighborhood as backdrop.

Bianca, after starring in “Sinner Or Saint,” and “Broken Vow,” is now portraying the grown-up Luna in “Luna Blanca” where Jillian Ward is her little girl equivalent.

“What I really love most about my role in ‘Sinner or Saint’ is the raw acting it required. We didn’t use a studio that aids the actors,” Bianca said.

Melissa Ricks Scoops Another Endorsement

Last year, in a much-talked about event, kapamilya star Melissa Ricks was launched as Bargn Farmaceutici Philippines Co.’s first celebrity endorser for its flagship product Cosmo Skin L-Glutathione.

And just recently, at the Concourse Event area at SM Makati, it was announced that Cosmo Skin’s partnership with the “girl with the enigmatic smile” will continue for another year with Cosmo Skin’s newest “Deliciously Beautiful, Deliciously Cosmo Skin” campaign.

“I’ve been a long time user of Cosmo Skin supplements and soaps,” she said, adding that her continued use of the products has led her to maintain a radiant and glowing complexion.

Melissa has been naturally blessed with beautiful skin but still Melissa is appreciative of Cosmo Skin’s advance skin technology as it complements her own skin care regimen and the demands of her profession. “Having a nice complexion is a must when facing the cameras,” the actress said.
