The exclusive Dasmariñas Village in Makati city Friday strongly advised boxing icon Senator Emmanuel ‘’Manny’’ D. Pacquiao and members of his household to stay under self-quarantine.

The letter sent to Pacquiao was dated March 27 and signed by Rossana Hwang, punong barangay (barangay head) of Dasmariñas Village,
’’You have been identified as a person under monitoring after the picture of you and Koko Pimentel (Senator Aquilino ‘’Koko’’ Pimentel III) in your house seen partying together (last March 5) went viral,’’ the letter said.
Hwang also pointed out that many of Pacquiao’s colleagues in Senate have been identified to be COVID-19 positive.
‘’Therefore, you have to be quarantined at your own house,’’ she wrote.
‘’For your own family and household's and community safety, please have yourself quarantined, STAY HOME. No one, including any of your household, can come out."
Pacquiao was told to call the barangay landline at 8812-3335, extension 101 if he needs anything.
‘’We can procure things for you and send it to your doorstep,’’ Hwang wrote.
She said the quarantine request was the ‘’recommendation of doctors from Makati Medical Center (MMC) who also here. And recommended by Makati Health Department.’’
‘’Please be a model example,’’ she added.
The meeting was meant to cool turmoil down within Pimentel’s PDP-Laban party.
In a contract tracing, a photograph was sent to the Viber group of Senate reporters stating that ‘’the lady in maroon from most left sitting down is Dr. Sally Gatchalian. She died this morning, March 26, from COVID-19.’’
The caption also stated: ‘’Koko in plaid shirt standing in the center with Joey Salceda. Lucy Torres seated center.’’
Pimentel is PDP-Laban president. He is a bar topnotcher.
Pimentel is now being roundly criticized for escorting his pregnant wife to MMC in the evening of March 24 and breaching his self-quarantine protocol.
Pimentel said he learned from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) that he is COVID-19 positive at 9 p.m. on March 24.
A spokesman of Pacquiao said the senator’s last public appearance was at the Senate special session last March 11 and he has been in self-quarantine mode at his house since.
Some senators had opted not to attend the special session because they were not feeling well, amid fears of the spread of COVID-19.
