Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is simply "hungry for publicity" with his rehashed allegations against President Duterte's alleged hidden wealth, Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo said.

Panelo said Trillanes sounded like a broken record for hurling allegations against the President without presenting sufficient evidence.
"Alam mo iyang si Trillanes, he is hungry for publicity, dahil nawala na siya sa media mileage kaya gumagawa na naman ng kuwento para madiyaryo na naman (You know Trillanes is hungry for publicity because he has lost media mileage so he is making another story to be featured on the news again)," Panelo said in a radio interview.
"I am surprised that media is paying attention to him dahil lumang tugtugin na iyan, sirang plaka na iyan, paulit-ulit na lang iyan wala naman siyang mapapatunayan (because that's old news, like a broken record. He continuously make allegations that he cannot even prove.)," he added.
Trillanes earlier filed a motion seeking a Senate inquiry into the alleged ill-gotten wealth of President Duterte and his daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio. He said the alleged undisclosed bank transactions may have violated the country's anti-money laundering law.
Earlier, Presidential spokesman Harry Roque dismissed Trillanes' allegations against the President as old news. He said the senator first raised the allegations during the campaign but has yet to prove anything.
