Militia ng Bayan member, NPA supporters surrender in Region 2

CAMP Marcelo A. Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – A Militia ng Bayan member and six New People’s Army supporters surrendered to the police in Cagayan Valley (Region 2) on Thursday, July 6. The Police Regional Office-2 identified the surrenderers as alias "Ben," a member of the East Committee, KomProb Cagayan KR-CV; alias “Jane,” of Pamplona, Cagayan; alias “Totoy”, “Jona,” and “Pedro,” residents of Alcala, Cagayan; and alias “Dodong” and “Juana” from Isabela. They turned over a homemade shotgun, a caliber .38 firearm, and four .38 caliber bullets. Police Brig. Gen. Percival Rumbaoa, PRO-2 chief, congratulated police units who facilitated their surrender. Rumbaoa reminded police in the region to continue to strengthen government programs to convince more communists to surrender.
