ViewQwest, a regional telecom and managed security services provider (MSSP) is targeting to haul in the Philippines' top 1,000 enterprises in its client list, according to its Chief Executive Officer, Vignesa Moorthy.
Already, demand for ViewQwest's bespoke enterprise connectivity and security solutions surged in the pandemic.
Going digital magnified the weaknesses of traditional networks when companies adopted cloud applications and shifted to hybrid work modes.
Now, more than ever, local enterprises recognized the need for digital transformation and are willing to spend, he noted.
"The pandemic accelerated things and our outlook in the Philippines is very positive, especially in retail, finance, logistics, health care and aviation," Moorthy said during a press briefing on Oct. 4.
ViewQwest started operating in the domestic scene in 2019, starting in Davao and eventually expanding to Manila.
At present, its clientele includes LBC Express, Philippine Airlines (PAL), East West Bank and the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP).

In particular, "Large enterprises with archipelago-wide branch networks and a distributed workforce require high-performance, high-availability and high-security access to their corporate network and resources – all while streamlining operations, driving cost savings and enabling business agility," according to ViewQwest's CEO.
This brought out the failings of traditional network and security models. "Large multinational vendors don't understand that the one price, one fit for everyone concept doesn't work."
What enterprises need are secure access service edge (SASE) and software-defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) services, he underscored.
It means they don't have to cough out around $10,000 per firewall for every branch they operate to protect their data.
ViewQwest charges $100 monthly per branch on subscription basis for its security solutions.
The company targets to serve 100,000 branches of local enterprises to haul in $10 Million per month, roughly P600 Million.
The Managed SASE and SD-WAN from ViewQwest converge networking and security services into one unified solution, replacing legacy data centre-oriented security with cloud-based architecture and places network and security controls on the edge, instead of the corporate data centre.
Their solutions fully support and deliver the highest performance for applications hosted in data centres and the cloud, including software as a service (SaaS).
Hence, enterprises can implement secure access from anywhere while reducing costs and complexity.
ViewQwest is rolling out its Managed SASE and SD-WAN offerings in 10 Southeast Asian countries, including the Philippines.
Its offerings take into account the unique challenges in the region, including diverse connectivity and inconsistent network quality, rising bandwidth costs, data residency and data sovereignty requirements, plus a rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape.
“We help customers transform their network and security architecture with confidence," says Moorthy.
"Leveraging our telco DNA, we have built the most cost-effective, high-performance and reliable networking solutions integrated with our certified best-of-breed SASE capabilities from leading global cybersecurity leaders, such as Palo Alto Networks. This allows us to create differentiated services that address unique security demands across our markets and customers."
Established in 2001, ViewQwest has been recognised as Singapore’s fastest Fixed Network Provider from 2018 to 2022 by Ookla Speedtest Intelligence.
In 2016, ViewQwest expanded into Malaysia and in the Philippines, three years later. This 2022, it is starting operations in China and Indonesia.
