Maria Ozawa trends on social media, but who is she?

The name Maria Ozawa became a trending topic on social media after it was mentioned in a popular game show on Monday, Jan. 8.

In an episode of "Family Feud" on GMA Network, game show host Dingdong Dantes asked hunk actor David Licauco to fill in the blank with the name Maria. David answered "Ozawa" to the delight of the guests and the studio audience.

Dingdong commented: "Bagay lang naman kasi Japanese ang theme natin ngayon."

Clips of David's answer went viral. And Maria Ozawa trended on social media. But who is she?

Maria is a former Japanese adult star who tried her luck in Philippine showbiz.

She was also in a relationship with Filipino-Spanish actor and chef Jose Sarasola. But in Jan. 2022, the two celebrities have called it quits.

Jose mentioned that a long-distance relationship was one of the factors that led to their separation.

In January 2023, Maria returned to Manila as a businesswoman.

Maria led the opening of the First Mansion Sports Bar & Lounge, a high-end sports bar and restaurant in the Philippines, for which she was also the endorser.

She was excited to work with one of Asia's most recognizable and established online casinos - M88 Mansion.

"It is my first time to partner with a gaming company, and I am thrilled with Maria's Room as I have never tried anything like this before. I play my favorites when I have free time, and if players are lucky, they will also get to play with me," Maria shared.
