Five Philippine security and defense personnel have successfully completed a four-week course focusing on a comprehensive approach to crisis management at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia- Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI-APCSS) in Hawaii, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs.

The five Philippine participants who finished the Comprehensive Crisis Management Course (CCM 18-1) were Col. Ricardo Petrola, Police Superintendent Frederick Obar, Myrna Angot, Col. Noly Mapili and Mr. Fidel Anonuevo Jr.
The DKI-APCSS is a US Department of Defense academic institute that addresses regional and global security issues.
The CCM 18-1 emphasizes fundamental skills and understanding to undertake preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery in crisis and disasters.
CCM 18-1 had more than 100 participants from 36 different countries.
