Mayor Sara orders general cleaning in Davao City starting April 27

By Warren Elijah Valdez DAVAO CITY - Starting April 27, all government and private establishments in this city, including schools, churches, hotels and restaurants, will be subjected to general cleaning to prevent dangerous pathogens, such as the novel coronavirus (NCoV) from staying these areas. The enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), which was extended by the city government, ends on April 26. Exempted from general cleaning were government emergency services, hospitals, and funeral parlors. Establishments that were not operating during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) may have their own schedules for general cleaning. Those which have been operating under the ECQ will follow these schedules for general cleaning and disinfection: April 27 - All government offices April 28 - All private offices April 29 - Business establishments April 30 - Hotels and other similar establishments, events places, restaurants, and other food establishments, groceries, supermarket, wet market/palengke May 4 - Educational institutions, places of worship In an interview with Davao City Disaster Radio on Thursday last week, Duterte said it would be more efficient if the general public will conduct sanitation procedures within their areas of responsibility.
