The Manila Police District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MPD-TEU) will implement road closure and rerouting of vehicles for the Black Nazarene procession on Good Friday.
MPD information chief Lt. Col. Carlo Manuel said the northbound lane of Quezon Boulevard from Quezon Bridge to G. Puyat Street will be closed to motorists starting on 4:00 p.m., April 19.
In an advisory on Thursday, MPD said that all vehicles going to north bound of P. Burgos Avenue and Taft Avenue intending to utilize the north bound lane of Quezon Boulevard should go straight to MacArthur and Jones Bridge to point of destination.
Manuel said that a stop and go traffic scheme will be implemented on some streets as the procession approaches the intersections.
The closing and opening of affected roads will be based on actual traffic condition, he added.
