(PAGASA/ MANILA BULLETIN) PAGASA weather specialist Meno Mendoza said the country is less likely to be affected by a low-pressure area or tropical cyclone in the next two to three days. The northeast monsoon may continue to be the prevailing weather system across the country until the weekend. Mendoza said cloudy skies with light "amihan" rains may affect Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani. Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will likely experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light monsoon rains. Based on the PAGASA's extended weather outlook, minimum temperature range in Metro Manila from February 14 to February 17 is between 21 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius. PAGASA's Science Garden Monitoring Station in Quezon recorded a minimum temperature of 20.8 degrees Celsius around 4:50 a.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, minimum temperature in Baguio City is forecast at 12 degrees Celsius to 13 degrees Celsius during the same period. The city's minimum temperature on Thursday was registered at 12.0 degrees Celsius. PAGASA noted that a gale warning remains in effect on Thursday due to moderate to rough seas triggered by the surge of the northeast monsoon. Moderate to rough seas may affect the eastern seaboards of Visayas and Mindanao, particularly the northern and eastern coasts of Northern Samar, eastern coast of Eastern Samar, Siargao, Surigao Del Sur, and eastern coastline of Davao Oriental. Fishing boats and small seacraft were advised to remain alert against big waves.
