Over 2,000 OFWs stuck in PH as Hong Kong imposes travel restrictions due to COVID-19
More than 2,000 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) scheduled to fly to Hong Kong are currently affected by the restrictions imposed due to the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Dolly Uanang, president of the Society of Hongkong Accredited Recruiters of the Philippines (SHARP), those affected include newly-hired household service workers (HSWs).

"They could not leave and go to Hong Kong because its government imposed travel restrictions due to spreading of the virus," said Uanang.
She said they are now waiting for the COVID situation to improve.
"Our workers are still stranded until this time. But all OFWs are fully vaccinated and are already holding visas, completed all of their documents and are ready to work," she said.
