Perpetual and Mapua clash to sustain their winning ways in the second round of the NCAA Season 98 men's basketball on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

Both the Altas and the Cardinals made their resets to get back in the win column after their recent triumphs against the San Beda Red Lions and the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals.
But that streak won't last long as they meet in the 12 p.m. curtain-raiser while EAC and San Beda take on each other in their 3 p.m. affair.
John Cedric Abis turned out to be a surprise player for the undermanned Altas, who played without their veteran Kim Aurin in their 75-72 overtime against the Lions last Oct. 22.
Abis unloaded a game-high performance of 21 points and nine rebounds to lift Perpetual while Carlo Ferreras made a name for himself after putting up 17 points and eight rebounds.
Abis and Ferreras need to replicate the same kind of energy they gave out when they take on Mapua, which will most likely rely on the balanced attack of Warren Bonifacio, Marc Cuenco, and Adrian Nocum.
The Cardinals, on the other hand, need to look out for the Atlas' big man Mark Omega, who continued to show force in the paint by tallying nine points and 22 of their 60 rebounds against the Lions.
Perpetual's recent win proved to be a huge morale booster as it currently holds a 5-6 record, just a win behind the powerhouse team in San Beda, which owns a 6-4 slate.
Mapua, who has a 3-9 record, on the other end, needs to rake in as many wins as it can in order to continue its wishful campaign.
Meanwhile, in the 3 p.m. match, both the Lions and the Generals look to avenge their recent defeats and vent their ire against each other.
While JB Bahio, alongside Peter Alfaro, showed consistency in the previous games, James Kwekuteye needs to step up big this time around after being limited to five points on a dismal 2-of-17 shooting clip.
On the Generals' side, a supporting cast is what Nat Cosejo needed as his 18-point outing wasn't enough to slow down the Cardinals.
