To those going to confession this Holy Week, remember to confess all your sins.
Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo said one should admit all their sins to a priest lest they commit another sin.

"If you truly want to repent for your sins you should confess all. It is not right if you purposely leave out some of them for whatever reason, but if you unintentionally forgot that is not a sin," Pabillo added. The Sacrament of Penance or Reconciliation is the method of the Church by which men and women confess the sins committed and have them absolved by a priest to heal the soul and to regain the grace of God, lost by sin. The head of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission on the Laity said it is also important to really be sorry for one’s sins when undergoing confession. Pabillo added that confession means acknowledging, admitting, and avoiding repetition. “Sometimes, one cannot avoid repeating past mistakes. But there should at least be an effort to avoid them,” he said. “Being sorry should not be mere lip service. There should be real conviction that you want to avoid them,” added Pabillo. To note, many people usually go to confession during Maundy Thursday and Good Friday that even priests in the Manila archdiocese go to different parishes to help hear confessions. Due to the big number of people who go to confession during Holy Week, priests make do with a kneeler and a chair as there are only a few confessional boxes in a parish.
