A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck Zambales Friday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The earthquake, which occurred at 6 a.m., was tectonic in origin and was traced 123 kilometers southwest of San Antonio, Zambales with a depth of  27 km.
The quake was not expected to cause any damage to property. However, aftershocks are likely to occur.
