An Evening Of Praise And Worship Music With Don Moen

Singer-songwriter Don Moen, who gained international popularity for his string of praise-and-worship songs will perform at a special concert on Nov. 8 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum that will kick off a series of shows in key cities of the country.

The concert series, titled “God Will Make A Way! Philippine Tour 2012,” also includes performances at the Bohol Wisdom School Gym in Tagbilaran City on Nov. 10 and at the FSUU Gym in Butuan City on Nov. 11.

To be produced by Ovation Productions, the tour will showcase the exceptional talent and skill of the American singer and songwriter who has attracted millions during the past three decades for his style of praise-and-worship songs that interprets closely the words of the Bible, such as “God Will Make A Way,” “Thank You, Lord,” “God Is Good All The Time” and “Give Thanks.”

Other Christian songs that he has popularized include “Lord, I Offer My Life To You,” “I Want To Be Where You Are,” “Blessed Be The Name Of The Lord,” “Celebrate, Jesus, Celebrate,” “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” and many more.

As worship leader, he produced a total of 11 volumes in the series, including the first album, “Hosanna! Music: Give Thanks,” which sold hundreds of thousands of copies and became the label’s bestseller.

Don received a Dove Award for his work on the musical, “God With Us,” and Dove Award nominations for “God Will Make A Way” and eight other songs two years earlier.

His new Christmas album, “Christmas: A Season of Home,” with some songs recorded at a studio in the Czech Republic, was released recently. Don has also released a new album titled, “Hymnbook,” as a celebration of his reaching over one million likes on his Facebook page.

Cignal Features Colours Gala By Mobo

Cignal, the country’s premier direct-to-home/satellite Pay TV provider, and its living magazine channel, Colours, brought to the Philippines a one-of-a-kind production that showcased a Filipino’s world-class talent in the field of fashion.

The fashion event was the first-ever gala show in Manila of acclaimed London-based Filipino designer Lesley Mobo. It was also a collaborative work of Philippine fashion advocate Kaye Tinga and ace fashion director Ariel Lozada.

“It has always been our commitment to support top-notch and worthwhile projects that will inspire Filipinos to become world-class talents,” said Manuel V. Pangilinan, Chairman of the Board, PLDT.

Held on Oct. 29 at the Mall of Asia Arena, the gala featured Mobo’s Spring/Summer Collection for 2013. Inspired by the famous orchestral work “The Rite of Spring” by Russian composer Igor Stravinsky, this latest collection was composed mainly of women’s wear with a fresh, fun and luxurious look.

Mobo worked for global clothing brand Jasmine di Milo. Prior to being the head designer of Jasmine di Milo, he garnered awards for his collections. He has also been featured in UK’s newspapers and fashion magazines. His creations have been worn by the likes of Anne Hathaway, Cristina Ricci, Kelly Osbourne, Zoe Saldana, Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga and Rihanna.

Part of the proceeds will go to the Light Tomorrow Project with Save the Children Foundation.
