Don Moen Returns For A Praise-And-Worship Concert Tonight

All roads lead to the Smart-Araneta tonight for what is expected to be one of this year’s biggest festival of praise-and-worship songs featuring Don Moen, an internationally renowned singer, composer and producer of Christian music.
The concert series titled “God Will Make A Way! Philippine Tour 2012,” will also take Don to Southern Philippines for performances at the Bohol Wisdom School Gym in Tagbilaran City on Nov. 10 and at the FSUU Gym in Butuan City on Nov. 11.
The concert tour will showcase the acclaimed talent of the American singer and songwriter who has attracted millions during the past three decades for his style of praise-and-music songs that interprets closely the words of the Bible, such as “God Will Make A Way,” “Thank You, Lord,” “God Is Good All The Time” and “Give Thanks.”
The concert has acquired wider interest and support amid the prevailing triumphant and jubilant mood among millions of Filipino Catholics generated by the recent canonization of St. Pedro Calungsod and the appointment as cardinal of Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Tagle.
It also coincides with the worldwide observance of the “Year of Faith” from Oct. 11, 2012 to Nov. 2013 as proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI, a major event that also heralds the nine-year preparation for the 500th anniversary of the arrival of Christianity in the country in 2021.
As worship leader, he produced a total of 11 volumes in the series, including the first album, “Hosanna! Music: Give Thanks,” which sold hundreds of thousands of copies and became the label’s best-seller.
A prolific songwriter, Don has worked with talented musicians like Justo Almario, Abraham Laboriel, Alex Acuna, Paul Jackson Jr., Lenny LeBlanc and Carl Albrecht.
Don has released a new album titled, “Hymnbook,” as a celebration of his reaching over one million likes on his Facebook page.

Daniel Taking Things Slowly
Fast-rising Daniel Padilla is now one of the hottest properties of the Kapamilya Network. His soap opera, “The Princess and I” where he plays Gino dela Rosa, a swaggering rich kid set to win the love of Kathryn Bernardo’s character Mikay Maghirang or Princess Ariya, is a leader in its timeslot, registering at one point almost 40 percent in the overnight ratings of Kantar Media/TNS among Total Philippines (Urband & Rural) households.
Daniel’s self-titled album released last May by Star Records, has sold more than 25,000 copies, earning for the young singer a Platinum Record Award, and making him even more popular among fans. Daniel said, “Before, nagdyi-jeep ako, nagta-tricyle ako papuntang school kasama ko mga kaibigan ko. Ngayon hindi na, dahil may show at album na ako.”
Listening to the advice of his father, Rommel Padilla, Daniel is taking things slow and is learning to put everything into proper perspective. “Relax lang daw ako sa mga nangyayari sa buhay at career ko. Enjoy ko lang daw. Wag magmadali. Ang problema ko lang, mahiyain ako kaya akala ng mga tao, suplado ako. Kadalasan nasa isang tabi lang ako, nanahimik, wala masyadong kausap.”
That’s why the clothes of BUM, which Daniel endorses, hit so close to home. There are no pretensions, no frills. BUM just allows him to be who he is and show his true colors. “For me, the brand is all about rocker style,” says Daniel of BUM’s signature “rebel” look.
As a toast to its hottest endorser, BUM has come up with a limited edition Daniel Padilla Tee Collection, available at BUM Boutiques and SM Department Stores.
