Alaska snapped a two-game skid by dealing winless NLEX its third straight loss, 100-87, in the PBA Commissioner's Cup at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Jeron Teng was one of six players in double figures with 20 points but also grabbed 15 rebounds as the Aces improved to an even 2-2 slate.

Import Chris Daniels bucked a 3-of-15 shooting to finish with 17 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, and three blocks while Chris Banchero added 17 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
Coach Alex Compton described the win as a “sigh of relief” after Alaska followed a 111-98 win over Columbian with losses to NorthPort and TNT KaTropa.
Tony Mitchell scored 34 points in his debut but NLEX fell to 0-3 in the absence of coach Yeng Guiao.
Guiao was excused from coaching the team to get a much-needed rest after losing in his bid to win a congressional seat in the first district of Pampanga.
The Aces led 46-35 at the half but saw the Road Warriors pull to within three, 55-52, on Poy Erram’s three with 7:21 remaining in the third.
But Alaska scored 19 points while holding NLEX to just six the rest of the period to take a 74-58 lead on Teng’s three-point play at the buzzer.
Juami Tiongson and Kenneth Ighalo added 10 points apiece for the Road Warriors.
