Domagoso, 45-year old former actor-turned-politician, was one of the Man At His Best 2019 awardees recognized by Esquire Philippines on Thursday for outstanding achievments in the fields of art, film, fashion, sport, and business.
"I am honored and humbled with this award. If not for Manilans, I won't have this award. I owe it to them. They gave me the opportunity to serve them,” Domagoso said in his acceptance speech.
"Ito pong pagkilala ng Esquire ay inaalay ko po sa mga taga-Maynila, sa mga batang Maynila. This is the result of our cooperation and participation, (This recognition given by Esquire is for the people of Manila, to the child of Manila),” he added.
However, Domagoso ended his speech asking the public to help him in reviving the old glory of Manila.
"I will continue to beg you and ask you, please help us resuscitate Manila,” he said.
Aside from the Mayor, Esquire Philippines also recognized National Artist for Visual Arts Benedicto “BenCab” Cabrera for his work as the master of contemporary Philippine art and National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab for his ageless talent and contribution to Filipino music.
