BIANCA GONZALEZ

In her own right, Bianca Gonzalez (one of Backroom’s really talented artists) is a multi-media maven who is practically everywhere. She is one of the hosts of ABS-CBN’s “Umagang Kay Ganda” and a weekly entertainment program on cable TV, writes a column for Philippine Star, is the editor-at-large of Meg magazine, stars in numerous commercials and product endorsements, and is one of the country’s most influential social media personalities, having emerged as the biggest winner in this year’s Tatt Awards.

Blessed with a sharp mind, a voice that everybody wants to hear, and a generous and giving heart, Bianca is definitely at the peak of her life and career.

Lea Salonga And The Friends

A dinner-concert featuring internationally acclaimed artist Lea Salonga will be staged on Dec. 4, 2012 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Makati. The event marks the 33rd anniversary of the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP), which was founded in 1979 for the nurture and development of young and talented Filipino talents.

Lea, who was introduced to a highly appreciative audience in 1979 during the first fundraising venture of FCCP when it sponsored the musical “Annie,” will be accompanied by her brother Gerard’s orchestra.

This year’s annual FCCP ball is ably spearheaded by Nene Leonor, FCCP president, with Nene Pe-Lim as director-in-charge, and Nonie Basilio, chairperson.

Proceeds of the event will go go FCCP’s projects such as its scholarship program (presently they support 10 scholars from the UP College of Music and Fine Arts), the outreach program which brings arts and culture to high school students in Makati, Pasig, San Juan, Marikina, Las Piñas and some provinces, “Artists & Friends” an afternoon gathering featuring upcoming artists/performers to a select group of music enthusiasts, as well as their cultural undertakings.

Once An Actor, Always An Actor

Back with a vengeance is actor-endorser Tony Boy dela Rea. Tony Boy is now being managed by Minda Flores. Interestingly, they used to be co-actors with Star Magic before.

In fact, Tony Boy guested in his buddy’s (Richard Gomez) show “Walang Hanggan.” Tony Boy was last seen in GMA-7’s “Case Unclosed,” particularly in “The Olalia Massacre” episode where he delineated the role of Col. Red Kapunan.

Tony Boy just renewed his contract with Cosmopolitan Modelling Agency.
