LICENSE RENEWAL
LUCENA CITY, Quezon — Professional license holders can renew their licenses at the newly open business service at SM City here, Lilibeth Azores, SM City Public Relations Manager for South Luzon said. The business center could accept application for licenses renewal in 34 selected professions of Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). This added service offered by the mall is for the convenience of clientele who cannot stand in line for long to submit their documents to be processed, Azores said. (Danny Estacio)

CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS, Cavite — The director of the Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) has been replaced by an officer from another province, it was confirmed yesterday. The relief order for Senior Superintendent John C. Bulalacao surprised everyone in this camp and at the Provincial Capitol as it came so sudden. Bulalacao was replaced by Senior Supt. Alexander D.G. Rafael, police director of Abra province, effective Thursday (November 22). (Anthony Giron)
CLASSROOMS TURNOVER
CITY SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Blue Eagle Foundation, Inc. headed by Lirius Quezon, in coordination with the Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (SFFCCII) led by its president Eddie Chua turned over eight classrooms under their “Barrio School Program” to the local government units (LGU’s) of the towns of San Simon and Apalit, Thursday. The turn-over was witnessed by Governor Lilia G. Pineda, Board Members Nestor Tolentino and Fritsie David-Dizon the other day. Chua said the SFFCCII and the Blue Eagle Foundation had initiated the construction of two classrooms in San Vicente Central Elementary School in this town and four classrooms in Sto. Nino Elementary School and two classrooms in San Agustin Elementary School, both in San Simon town. (Franco Regala)

ANGONO, RIZAL — Filipino religious and cultural traditions marked yesterday’s festivities in honor of the town’s patron saint of the fisherfolk, St. Clement, the Pope, in this Art Capital Town of the country. Catholic devotees joined or watch along the lakeside of Laguna Lake, the traditional boat parade, known as “Pagoda sa Lawa” with dozens of motorized boats escorting the image of the town’s patron saint to mark the grand religious event in this town yesterday morning. Prior to the boat parade, Antipolo Bishop Gabriel V. Reyes was joined by other priests in the 6 a.m. concelebrated mass at St. Clement Parish Church. (Nel B. Andrade)
TREASURER HUNT
OLONGAPO CITY — Authorities here are now trying to find a barangay treasurer who allegedly carted off the payroll of fellow barangay workers amounting to P300,000. A complaint was made by the barangay officials of Mabayuan, led by barangay captain Roberto Ferrer, against Jeorge De Guzman at the office of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). According to councilor Sam Fermales, the suspect took off with the money after withdrawing it at the bank on November 9th, but instead of turning it over to the barangay, the suspect escaped the following morning with the barangay’s whole month’s salary in tow.
