Iloilo tourism app launched

By Minerva BC Newman Iloilo City – Smart Communications and InnoPub Media recently launched the expanded ‘Iloilo Guide App,’ a mobile guide that features useful information to visitors and students, such as historical background, local folklore and other interesting cultural trivia including lists of things to do and places to see. This can be downloaded for free on mobile users’ phones. Smart Visayas-Mindanao public affairs head Attorney Maria Jane Paredes said with mobile technology, residents and travelers to Iloilo can now easily locate and discover the area’s rich culture and heritage and destinations at their fingertips. “We are happy to partner with the Province of Iloilo and InnoPub Media to make the region’s rich history, culture and heritage available to a wider audience,” Paredes said in her message during the launch last week at Casa Real in Iloilo City in time for the 117th Semana sang Iloilo.
