Force India announced last week that their Formula One challenger will be unveiled at Silverstone on Feb. 1, 2013.

Vijay Mallya’s team is the first to announce the launch date for its new contender, the Mercedes-powered VJM06.

The launch takes place just four days before the first F1 pre-season test takes place at the Jerez Circuit in Spain on Feb. 5.

The Silverstone-based team ended its season on a high after Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg challenged for the victory in Brazil.

Hulkenberg moving to the Sauber Team next year, Force India is choosing between Jaime Alguesaru, Jules Bianchi, Sebastien Buemi and Adrian Sutil to drive along current driver Paul di Resta.
