Trillanes launches YouTube vlog to present 'exposés'

By Noreen Jazul Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV has joined the world of vlogging, launching on Wednesday his vlog called "TRx" or "Trillanes Explains." (MANILA BULLETIN) (MANILA BULLETIN) In the first episode of "TRx", Trillanes explained why he wanted to start a vlog. "Nung natapos ang aking termino, naisip ko na kailangan ko pa ring magsilbi sa ating bayan. Itong adbokasiya ng Magdalo nung 2003 laban sa corruption at pagreporma ng ating gobyerno, ito ngayon ang aking paraan para maipagpatuloy iyon," Trillanes said. (When my term finished, I thought that I still need to serve my country. Magdalo’s 2003 advocacy against corruption and for the reform of our government, this is now my way to continue that.) Trillanes also said he will present in his upcoming vlogs "interesting exposés" based on investigation and research. The former naval officer added that he has been receiving information from his "network" in different branches of the government. "Meron din mga impormasyon galing sa ordinaryong kababayan natin. Itong mga ito ay vina-validate natin at pinu-pursue naman, kaya pagka-ready na ito ay pinepresenta namin sa atin mga kababayan," he said. (There is also information from ordinary citizens that we validate and pursue. When it’s ready, we will present it to the public.) Trillanes also said he aims to fight "propaganda and fake news" with his vlog. As of writing, Trillanes' official YouTube channel has 876 subscribers. His first vlog post has received more than 2,300 views within six hours of its release.
