"We remain grateful to our people for giving the Duterte administration a 'very good' +58 net satisfaction rating," Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said in a statement.
"Rest assured that the Duterte administration would continue to champion the interests of the greatest number of our countrymen, particularly in redoubling our efforts in ensuring that no Filipino family will ever be hungry," he added.
In the Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, public satisfaction rating with the Duterte administration dropped in the first three months of the year.
The poll showed 69 percent of the Filipinos were satisfied with the performance of the Duterte administration, resulting to a net satisfaction rating of +58 classified as "very good." The figure was a 12 point decline from the "excellent" rating of +70 in the fourth quarter of 2017.
Roque said it was "noteworthy" to mention that the government's rating remained "excellent" in Mindanao, the President's bailiwick, and stayed "very good" in Balance Luzon and Visayas.
"In addition, our people have appreciated the initiatives of the Administration in helping the victims of disasters where it got 'excellent' rating; helping the poor, rebuilding Marawi City, building and maintenance of public works, promoting the welfare of OFW, fighting terrorism, and protecting human rights where it received 'very good' rating," he said.
