Teen arrested for illegal possession of firearm in Las Piñas

A 19-year-old male was arrested by members of Las Piñas Talon Police Sub-Station for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition early Monday morning, Feb. 27. City Police Chief Col. Jaime Santos and responding policemen confiscated an Armscor air rifle with ammunition from the suspect identified as Janno Diaz. Santos said Diaz was arrested around 12:30 a.m. along Cicero St., BF Resort Village, Talon Dos, Las Piñas City. The city police chief said Talon Sub-Station operatives responded to the residents' call complaining about a man armed with a firearm and creating trouble around the neighborhood. He said the arrested suspect was immediately turned over to the Station Investigation and Detective Management Section (SIDMS) for investigation.
